Remake Advanced Search Feature

Description: We want an advanced search window or popup like in Image 105.1. It should be populated with the following fields/parameters:

  • Text box that can switch from searching for keyword, title, creator, or collection identifier.
  • Drop down list of selecting specific repositories (Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies, Hargrett Library, Hargrett Map Collection, University Archives, Historic Clothing and Textile Collection)
  • Date range limiter including Date start and Date end
  • Limit to results with online content checkbox (in ArcLight known as “online access” in the “Access” filter)
  • Ability to add more keywords and change their boolean to AND, OR, NOT
  • Ability to remove any of the above added keywords

It should be added as a button on the home page (See Image 105.2) and as a clickable hyperlink beneath the search box on the top of the page (See Image 105.3).

When a user clicks outside the advanced search box, it should exit out of the popup and return them to the screen they were just on.

Change the “Submit Query” button to read “Search” instead.
