Express Link modal `[x]` link not working correctly

Issue

• Go to databases bentos page, e.g., uga1/bentos/databases?q=book
• Click the express link modal (share) icon
• Click the X icon in the upper right of the modal
• Notice that the modal closes, but the page is still greyed out (and unresponsive)

If instead of clicking the x icon, you simply click outside the modal or press <esc>, the modal closes correctly.
