EDS bentos without additional limiter clauses fail with blank search

• You shouldn't run a blank search. But still, it shouldn't fail. We see lots of errors in the exceptions channel. Return blank results instead... or re-work limiter handling so the limiters are always valid syntax, even without search terms.
