Column sort does not work when trying to sort a results list

If I try to sort a results list using the column sort option, it does not change the sorting of the results list.

The two queries are the same:

• https://ga-staging.galib.uga.edu/institutions?direction=asc&query=schools&sort=institutions.code
• https://ga-staging.galib.uga.edu/institutions?direction=desc&query=schools&sort=institutions.code

This is happening for:

• Contacts
• Institutions

Is works correctly for:

• Resources(however, I notice the sort option does not change the browser address URL)
