Verify ownership of dlg with google site console

There are a number of ways to verify (see video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=N4PmE3LysUM&feature=emb_rel_end). I have tested the google analytics code method. Failure reason: The Google Analytics tracking code on your site looks malformed.

1. Your homepage must contain either your analytics.js or gtag.js snippet.
2. Your tracking code should be in the head section of your page.
3. You must have the “edit” permission for the Google Analytics property.

We don't have the analytics.js snippet in the page. The code is in body class="blacklight-homepage blacklight-homepage-index" data-analytics-id="UA-112002060-2" instead.

I'm not sure which method is the best one to use.
