Carousel image size

Issue

In the March 14 meeting, Sheila pointed out odd image size issues for the carousel, see below

Also, when you zoom out with Cntl-plus and minus, the carousel does not change size, see last image below

It's not easy to see with these samples, but the second image is taller than the first
